Ferrari has always been one of the most important European suppliers in the various applications of the ceramic and brick production sector.
In the structural ceramic production process (bricks, tiles) fans play a fundamental role both in the drying and firing processes of the materials and in the combustion systems. Ferrari products have characteristics that make them suitable for use in the oven, dryer and combustion systems.
Both centrifugal and axial fans are often used in the oven and dryer.
The most used centrifugal fans are those with transmission and single suction, suitable for moving large volumes of air. With them it is possible to reach extremely high flow rates, up to 200,000 m3 / h while keeping the head levels necessary in these systems, at around 800-1200 Pa. When space limitations impose it, double suction centrifugal fans with extractor hoods that allow the optimization of available spaces. Both configurations can work air flows with temperatures up to 450 ° C. For materials generated by particularly aggressive clays, fans can be constructed with full or partial corrosion resistant materials.
Axial fans are used to move copious quantities of air where the required heads are more contained. These are compact solutions that assume little space and can be used both vertically and horizontally, thus maximising the available space. Belt driven fans are the most used, as they keep the electric motor separate from the air flow, being suitable for working with air temperatures up to 80 ° C. When the fluid temperature exceeds this threshold, the choice changes to products that must protect critical transmission components such as belts and bearings from the temperature.
